Ingredients

Special equipment:
Football cookie cutter

1 loaf dark rye or pumpernickel bread
1 pound lean ham
1 pound reduced-fat Swiss cheese, sliced
mustard, light mayo or cream cheese (for piping)
desired condiments (nutrition info not included)

Directions

Layer the ham and Swiss on the bread. Top with the remaining bread.
Arrange the cookie cutter so you can get two sandwiches per slice.
Press down firmly on the cookie cutter. Discard or reserve the scraps of bread, meat, and cheese.
Arrange the sandwiches on a platter and garnish with mustard, mayo or cream cheese in the shape of laces on a football.
